It boggles the mind......The Detroit Free Press letting dead animals and stories of the kill to be published......Yikes!!!!!!
Could this be the start of something Good?
I doubt it but I can hope!

I don't trust the Freep...or any newspaper for that matter. All those people probably now have their faces posted on PETA's hate board. :shock: :evil:

Maybe, Gary . . . but if so, that's PETA's problem.
I'm glad they sent in their pics and stories, and I give the Freep credit for printing it.

Real glad for them folks. just a few feep goofs such as.
On the first day of archery season he shot a small buck. On Oct. 11 he arrowed this fine 8-point on his grandmother's family farm near Mulliken, Mich. using a 12-gauge shotgun with slugs.
Complete with pic of the kid with a bow laying on the deer.
Nice shootin though
Oh, and does Smith and Wesson make rifles?

Glad to see a lot of first time hunter's with Deer.
Hopefully the printed description is only a typo and not the real mccoy as written.
============================
S&W did have long guns in the mid 70's.
Looking at the hunting regs Sandusky is in the Shotgun Zone (Thumb).
I know in some of the fields you can shoot a 1,000 yards - it would be nice if we could use a rifle - There are lots of Bucks and they stay just out of range.
==============================================
Kill made near Sandusky, Mich., at 9:30 a.m. on Opening Day with a Smith-Weston Rifle.
Deer approximately 120 pounds.
