I have been thinking about getting a muzzleloader lately and know where I can buy a NEF. Not sure, but I believe it is the Sidekick model in stainless.

Does anyone have any experience with these muzzleloaders? Are they good bad or other? Any comments or advice?

Thanks in advance for any info. W

I bought one for hunting up north when cleaning the flinter daily wasn't possible. First of all, don't bother trying to shoot patched round ball as the barrel is too fast. Second, It's harder to clean as (I think) the barrel should open further.
I will say that right out of the box it did some decent groups after sighting it in. The only misfire was because my buddy forgot to put in the powder, but that was fixed quickly by pulling the breech.
I have never fired the "max" load of 150 grains but using 2-50 grain pellets and sabots (somewhere in the 250 grain area...cant remember) I was doing 3 inch groups at 50 yards with no problem.
Last thought is, buy a range rod for shooting and cleaning. The one on the rifle is expensive but ok for hunting. IMO, I rarely use the guns ramrod for anything unless I'm in the field.

Thanks for the input msbcomputer. Good info. I have read similar things about the rod and had planned on purchasing one if I buy the gun. Thanks again. W
