can you use a riffle scope on a muzzle loader ?or do you have to buy a special scope like you do for a shot gun?
you dont need to buy any special scopes for any gun a rifle scope is fine for all guns. shotgun scopes had there paralex focused for 75 yds not 100 like rifle scopes,
there is no other differance i use rifle scopes on all my guns smokepole shotguns etc....... so dont worry one bit

The exception would be air rifles. They require scopes made specificly to handle that unique recoil that an air rifle produces.
Put a regular scope on an air rifle and kiss it goodbye in just a few shots.

Kurt what is different about air rifles? This just came up the other day at work and I didn't believe the guy who said that same thing. Now that I hear you say it I believe it, but would still like to know what the difference is.
---edit--------------------------------
Nevermind I just found a great article explaining it.

I'm sure glad you found that link!
I would have been hard pressed to explain it anywhere near that clear or complete.
