Half a BILLION dollars spent buying back hundreds of thousands of guns had no effect on the homicide rate in Australia. Maybe that's because criminals don't turn in their guns. What a surprise. How long before the politicians get it? Don't even think of trying it here.

That's why a ban on assault weapons didn't work. They think this was going to be something that would stop the average criminal? Nope, they are only punishing the law abiding citizen.
