Wow Who would have thought of it.
Actually Ken it doesnt qualify anyone to get a CCW It is just a small part of it. We almost didnt give the stamped cert to one person last year. Based on the actions and what the person said during class. We all ( four instructors) looked at each other and had to call the persons refrences before we did give it to that person we thought he was a loose cannon. when actually he just liked to spout off like a middle school kid.

I like the part that says it may not qualify them to even get a ccwWhere does it say that? Adding to what Rick said, if they pass the class, they are "qualified," training wise, to apply for a CPL. We all know there is more to it, so it certainly justifies their actual statement;Completion of the class does not guarantee that each individual’s application for a CCW license will be approved by the Wayne County Gun Board. Is this class limited to WACO residents only? It implies it by the last four words, but what if a WACO woman wants to bring her friends from other counties?

I like the fact that the Sheriff seems to be pro CPL by offering this.
Now they should have a course for men or men and women together to furthur show their support for citizen CPL rights.
