I use the Spyderco SharpMaker.
It's as simple and idiotproof as it gets.
I used to use a Lansky. The Spyderco is way better/easier.
Another vote for the Sharpmaker.

The edgemaker pro any idiot can use it I used to use the Lansky but since I started using the edgemaker the Lansky hasnt seen the light of day in about 4 years.
Merv the guy that sells them is at most gun shows around the state.
I think Gander Moutian also stocks them.

Kurt, Do you stock these? If so, put one away for me. I'll pick it up when I pick up the rest of my stuff this week. Thanks.

I use a Lansky all the time. How does the Spyderco Sharpmaker make things easier?

You don't have to mess with clamps and jigs.
You just put the triangle shaped ceramic sticks in the base and start stroking, holding the knife verticle.
Nick, I'm temporarily out of the Sharpmaker.
I hope to have them back in stock next week.

Easier maybe but how's the consistency? I use a Lansky because the clamp keeps the angle consistent.

Remember, if you make something idiot proof, they will build a better idiot.

All I can say is that my knives are sharper and they get that way faster with the Sharpmaker.
I own both systems and the Lansky is gathering dust.
