Ahhh dropped the 2nd deer of the year this afternoon.

Just sat my butt in the blind. Pulled out my book and heater looked up and there it was about 30 yards away. It was looking my way and I slid the lexan window down. Kept looking my way so I just slid the muzzleloader out the corner of the window without dropping the burlap. BANG dropped right where it was standing.... Loaded up into the trailer and off to the butcher.

Got to love those hunts where you are not out of the house for more then 10 minutes.

I need another deer but was chasing yotes today.

We never pushed one deer in the section behind my house so, me going out looking for venison is pretty much a waste of time.

Perhaps if we get the yote population thinned it may help but, too late for this year.

I have one hanging and really wanted to have two before I fired up the grinder. Oh well....

Congrats on your doe.

I took two this year. One doe during firearm, then a mercy kill on a button buck during the late archery season. Poor little guy, the right rear quarter was all busted up so I put him down and out of his misery. The doe was a good size tho!
