So where are ya'll getting your cord for wrapping knives? I see it offered a lot of places, but most don't really say whether it's the "real" stuff or not, or offer lame colors.

Also, what sort of wraps are relatively easy to do? I remember seeing a basket weave that looked alright...I was thinking of doing a pretty standard weave in white as a bottom layer, the going an OD green on top with a fancier weave.

Opinions?

I got some cord from County Comm once when I was ordering something else. I've done a simple wrap using the video on their site and it came out nice.

I may be an old fart (may???) but why do you wrap knives? Don't they come with hilts properly made for handling? What's the point?

Every knife I have was finished at the factory.
