While waiting for my CPL app to be approved, I thought I'd look for a decent carry holster. I've tried a few of my other half's, but they just don't feel right. I've looked at some on the web, but I haven't seen any good reviews of any of them.
I did hear a bit of good about Del Fatti and have seen LADYFIST mentioned in many places.

???? Any recommendations or feedback? I'm new to this and appreciate the help, thanks!

Crossbreed Supertuck, or K&D Defender. Own the supertuck and it's fantastic. Never tried the Defender, but it's the same concept but all leather. It's extremely comfortable, and I have no problems making a G20 disappear.

Crossbreed Supertuck, Comptac MTAC, Tucker the Answer, all the same idea leather and Kydex. Good support, retention and relatively inexpensive

Check out Kathy Jacksons (aka pax on several firearm forums) site

http://www.corneredcat.com/

Geared toward women but a lot of good information no matter what gender you may be.

What gun and where on the body do you plan to carry?

Working with female students I've found that appendix carry and cross draw carry tend to work better for some women then behind the strong side hip carry. But, then you really want a holster set up for cross draw or appendix carry. Holsters set up for behind the strong side hip carry tend not to work well for appendix carry and generally don't work at all for crossdraw.

Read through Kathy's Cornered Cat website. Also, post what gun you plan to carry and we may have some more ideas.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I'll be reading the cornered cat site here shortly. My other half is a huge fan of Crossbreed too, so I've had some experience with them.

My thought right now is to use my XD as my carry pistol (or one of our Sigs...augh! I don't know yet). Now, that can change but I'm rolling with it for now. I had initially thought of a strong-side hip holster, but I may revisit that after your comment Trebor. Thanks...it gives me something to think about.

Looks like I have some reading to do! Thanks for the help so far. I'm sure I'll be asking for more.

I carry either cross-draw or strong side. For side, I like these holsters from RM Holster Works. http://www.rmholsters.com/ I have the offset-drop in paddle style. It can be used for both competition and carry. They are offset very little, yet don't restrict draw ability, and are low enough so I can draw easily. They can be made for almost any gun and to your specs too. Often I will touch them up to my preferences with a dremel tool.

I have Sidearmor, Blade-Tech, Blackhawk Serpa, Fobus, DeSantis, Vega, and a few others I can't remember, but always come back to the RM.

What is everyone's view on appendix carry? I've told it is easier for women, but I've also heard that it is very uncomfortable when sitting.

Also, I've been looking at holsters and some are advertised about being used for strong-side, cross draw, or appendix carry... but I've been told that if you're going to appendix carry, to get a holster made specifically for appendix carry. I recently got an XD9 Sub-compact and I'd like to be able to try several ways of carrying it first... so the multi-option holsters sound great.

Then there's the issue of cant with appendix carry and is a straight drop better?

For me, appendix is great. Depends on the size of the pistol (and you), and depth and cant of holster if it will dig into you when sitting. If it's a sunken seat that bends your hips a lot, it may dig. Bigger guns go on strong side OWB. Smaller ones go crossdraw or appendix IWB. If you can, find a friend who has stuff you can use to test-fit. Maybe an instructor in your area has holsters/guns you can try.
