I want this to be a lighthearted question/discussion.
How does everyone oc in the winter with heavy coats on? All my coats come at least a little past my waist.
Once again please no oc vs. cc arguments in this thread. THANKS!

You get a big Santa belt and wear it on the outside of your coat just like old Kris Kringle.

Get a subcompact 9mm and clip the holster to your hat

""I have a chest holster that I will be useing this Saturday with my Desert Eagle .44""
Are you sure thats enough stopping power?
I assume you mean in the woods for opening day.

I just still IWB my 642. jacket just gives me room for flashlight and spare speed strip of ammo.
You go somewhere warm and need to remove your jacket you still have to worry about concealment.

I'm assuming he is someone that does not have a cpl and wants to legally carry. Winter atire can make that difficult.

To be honest I am not interested in OC. I am just waiting for my CPL to be approved. I asked the question just because I was curious. For the record Ihave nothing against OC it is just not for me at this point in time. I liked the tucking the 9 in the ball cap. How about getting the lightest pocket pistol you can find and get a wrist lanyard or hang it lower than your coat from a $.99 carabiner you get from the drug store, lol. All jokes, would never do either.

Hold on, why does it have to be in the woods. Hell, go out and buy a big ass flava flav chain and instead of the clock put a S&W 500 on it. I think it would have enough stopping power for even the biggest meth head and you will bring back an 80's fashion statement.

You could either do a "buckeye tuck" or find a coat like the cops wear with a cut in the side, so it fits around your holster. Where there is a will there is a way.

On the rare occation I OC while working I do the Buckeye tuck or something similar. That way it doesnt scream gun when / if you have to walk into an area that you really dont care to get attention.

I like how this post is going. Just like I hoped. Getting honest answer as well as people joking. I see too many afguments in this section and am glad it hasn't happened here. This is a question that has been bugging me since Ibecame aware oc was legal a few months ago. Keep the real answers and jokes coming. This site gives me something to do while recovering. Thanks!

Basicly IWB but the gun is outside the shirt(exposed above the belt line) to I can conciel if I want and still have my shirt tucked in.
Its called the Buckeye tuch because this is how you were suppose to carry while in a vehicle in Ohio before the law changed.
I personally like this method of OC as it doesnt tend to draw so much attention and you still get the benefit of a quick draw. But I only use it while working since that is the only time I tuck in my shrt.
