Some may remember a thread I posted a while back about JK Knives. John is still cranking them out and they are better than ever. Most recently are the convex grinds he's putting on his 1095 offerings. Cut like a damn laser!

Anywho, here are some pics I took today of a few different models. The top one is a 3" flat ground, 1/8" thick O1 steel blade with a 3.25 inch handle of cocobolo.

The bottom is a 3.5" convex ground, 1/8" thick 1095 steel blade with a 4" oak handle with hollow pins.

If you want more information visit www.jkhandmadeknives.com. Tell him TFin04 sent ya and he'll hook you up. His prices are often lower than production companies and his knives are just as good if not better than RAT, Bark River, and some of the other well known names out there.

I have a few other models from him, I will post pics soon.

Here's another. This is the 4 5/8" Kephart model. My favorite all around knife by far. The patina is natural (unlike the one above).

Does he mash out his own Damascus?

I don't believe he does any damascus, the first one I posted is O1 with a forced patina on it.

Sweet blades. I need to get myself a 4 5/8" Kephart.
The Keppie is my fav by far. Perfect size for hunting or hiking. Might be a bit longer reach then some would want for gutting or skinning but it's certainly doable. I like the extra reach for batoning firewood on the trail.
