First I would like to start off with a big HOORAY!!!! for warm weather. Got the motorcycle out today, and it was AWESOME!!!!
Now by doing so, it is a pain to cover up a P226(& surefire X300) with a tight leather jacket, so I carry open.
First went to the bank(same bank diffrent sight as before) not a word said, they don't even ask for my ID when i make transactions their either.
then I went about riding and went to the gas station. Had a few people look down and stair at the gun, had a gentleman ask me for directions to Meijers. then in line to get my change, the guy behind me said that he thought my pistol had to be concealed. I talked to him and explained the whole OC deal in MI to include ti becoming mysteriously concealed when i got on my bike. He seamed skeptic, and said he would never want a cop to see it. over all the conversation was much longer and more in depth, but a good one. No one else in line said anything, but watching them they were listening, not sure what their reactions were.... but no one screaming "GUN!!" and no cops were called.
Proceeded to ride my bike from Vandercook down 127 to 94W as I exited on the Elm rd exit I noticed a State trooper SUV behind me, i was driving 35 in the 45 to see if she would pass, she never did, but then proceed into the state police place by the prison as i passed it, so probably just coincidence.
Went to the Secretary of State, no issues, didn't even notice any looks.
Then on my way home tongiht i stopped by wally world to get some body wash. a couple was walking in with me and the man aprochases me and asks me if I am open carrying. I tell him that i am and he shakes my hand shows he has a firearm under his sports coat, and procedes to tell me that he is a retired police officer. He was happy that some one had the guts to go out and actually do what the law allows. We got to talking, and he is a member on here, and he is renting a table at the same gun show as I here in jackson on march 21st.
So over all great day today, very positive. these are the days i wish the fiancee is with me... when ever she is things don't go right.... perhaps she looks dangerous.
But i am happy... now off to training for the weekend.

That's what I like to hear and as it should be. Thanks for posting that here.
I don't know what it is, but loaded gun on a motorcycle seems a little dangerous.
See i don't ride some big cruiser or rocket, i ride a dual sport. There just isnt much protection if i fall. Now i can only imagine what a polymer pistol would do
with a 250lb man sliding on it down the freeway.
But i guess if the pistol is inside of my leather jacket it could be ok.
I have OC in Traverse city with no problems, but down here im not gonna try it until i get my cpl. I just dont want to deal with the "he's got gun!" people.

If you turf on your pistol it's gonna get messed up no matter what it's made out of, steel or polymer.
I'd be more concerned about retrieving it from my kidneys after falling!

FTW
For the Win (internet slang)
or
In 2008, the most common meaning of "FTW" is "for the win", an Internet expression of enthusiasiam.
While there were nastier meanings in previous years, FTW today commonly stands for "For the Win". It is an expression of enthusiasm. "FTW" is the same as saying "this is the best" or "this item will make a big difference, I recommend using it". Examples would include: "anti-lock braking, ftw!", "spellchecker, ftw!", and "low-carb diets, ftw!"

for my sig, I use the Galco Halo holster, it feels good with the surefire on it. and the snap vs just retention makes me more at ease while on a bike.
