I would like to find a reputable gunsmith who can do some customizing on my Kimber 1911. Anyone know of someone here in Michigan with a good reputation for working on 1911's? Want to start with a trigger job and proceed from there. Post them here or PM/e-mail me info. Thanks.

I've had Shooters Service do trigger jobs on all my hunting rifles - always turned out real nice.

I second the well done job from Marianne, she fixed one of mine with some problems and did a great job at a good price.
She is real busy but well worth the wait!

Marainne always seems to have a lot of jobs she is working on.
For me she did a repair with sear and springs, total internal repair, I couldn't find anyone to do small fix.
She does some real nice custom work as well as repair.
There is a web site with pics of her work but I cant remember what is is.

I have dealt with Doug Jones with my 1911, the accurails make my gun tight but he also did other custom work to my pistol like pinned grip safety etc might give him a call.

I believe he does more work other than accurails give him and inquiry. My first 1911 was one modified by him and seriously I would never get rid of it.....
