There has been some ongoing confusion relating to the "bumping" rule on the part of a few members posting to the classifieds.

Any time a response is made to a post, the post bumps to the top of the sub-forum list and shows up as a new post. If the response is made by the original poster with the primary intent being to answer a question, modify the listing, update status changes of items offered, etc...there is no limit on the number of times this can be done...as long is it is offering NEW and USEFUL information relating to the ad.

A post made by the original poster for the primary reason of bringing the thread to the top of the subforum is prohibited if it is done within 24 hours of your last response (keep in mind, all responses bump the post, as detailed above). These types of posts include the obvious "BTT", "TTT", "bump", "up"...but they also include ones such as "any offers?", "this is a nice gun!!", "still here", etc.

Per the policy:
However, replying to your ad within 24 hours of your last reply for the sole purpose of moving it to the top of the listing is prohibited.

=========================
As an example...PROHIBITED BUMPING:

At 1:00pm, an added post is made to a "for sale" thread by the orig poster:"Price Drop! Now $325...I need to move this TODAY!!"
At 7:00pm, an added post is made to the same thread by the orig poster:"Common guys! I really need to sell this today!" =========================
=========================
Conversely, an example of PERMISSIBLE BUMPING:

At 1:00pm, an added post is made to a "for sale" thread by the orig poster (last post by OP was more than 24 hours prior):"Common guys! I really need to sell this today!"
At 7:00pm, an added post is made to the same thread by the orig poster:"Price Drop! Now $325...I need to move this TODAY!!" =========================
