I saw this thread a while back and thought I would finally ask. What are the redeeming qualities of Maxim magazine? Never picked one up before, but I know they have the hot chick pics all over the web. Is there usually anything else useful in the magazine? Just wondering.

There' a LOT more to the rag than that. They have a real tongue-in-cheek writing style that I like.

The pics are OK....nothing you can't see on the internet for free. Every once in a while they interview someone who isn't a douchebag, and also review a plethora of "guy" items and music, movies and such.

I wouldn't pay for it...but for free why not? It's not that bad, it makes for good bathroom material.

I informed Maxim from the confirmation email they sent me, now they want "proof of DVD purchase" before they will send any.

Yeah, well, never bought no DVD to start this.
