I read this 5 page article twice. It was that good. It is about what a Secret Service trainee goes through, unreal.
Here is the article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/17/AR2009071701785.html

From the article:

Thus concludes the last Secret Service class, one day before
graduation. The previous lecturer told them about alcohol counseling. Four employees had DUI arrests in the past year.

I wonder how good their screening is if four agents had DUI's. Or maybe they learned and saw things as agents that drove them to drink. ???

Anyone that has a family and wants to be close to them, and want to work for the USSS, one word of advice: Don't

Especially during an election year

They have some top notch training

John F Kennedy Assassination Secret Service Stand Down

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5770984395481454022&q=President%20Press%20JFK&hl=en

This video shows showing the Secret Service officer ordering JFK’s bodyguards away from JFK just before, immediately before, entering the Dealey Plaza/grassy knoll area where Kennedy gets shot.

You can see it as well as I can.

Make your own opinion of why the Secret service stood down and backed off just before Kennedy gets shot.

(P.S. A Secret Service agent who had guarded President Truman was a staunch conservative who believed in the party line. But when he saw this video clip he immediately called b and said that that is not supposed to ever happen - i.e. leaving the President vulnerable to attack. He said that that this should never ever happen. He then thought for the rest of his life that the assassination was some kind of inside job)
