Couple things:
1) This isn't all of my knives. I'm missing a Benchmade Monochrome (Its MIA :puppyeye: ), and my Spyderco Wave Endura is currently at a friends house getting sharpened.
2) I use all my knives so none of them are in pristine condition.
3) Damn you have a very nice collection firebert! Wish I could afford a collection like yours.
4) A lot of my knives are cheapo knives I've picked up at flea markets or people have gotten me as gifts.
5) My best knives that are actually pictured are the SOG/Paladin Tools Power Play multitool, the Swiss Army XLT, the Cold Steel Recon I, and the Winchester fixed blade with rosewood handles.

Edit: Woops.. looks like I forgot to unsheathe the throwing knife on the right..

Thanks astro, I've sold a few of them(the blurs,Benchmade ares), but I plan on buying some spyderco's in the future. If I had more money I would have hundreds haha.
And your swiss army knives just reminded me that i need to take a picture of those. I've got about 4 laying around somewhere.

Hah. Yea I wish I could buy more knives. I stay WAY away from bladeforums cause seriously everytime I go there its like "gotta buy this, gotta buy that.. hmm.. that looks cool.".
Flashlights, knives, EDC stuff, god I've been into all of that stuff my entire life..
I used to love carrying around my Swiss XLT. Its very handy and has tons of tools on it but damn it gets old having an extra 1 pound of steel sitting in your pocket. I switched to the SOG multitool but then that thing just dug into my side all day long so now I'm back to not carrying a multitool anymore.

Leatherman Charge Tti is the absolute best multi tool out there IMO.
...And it has S30V one hand opening blades! I don't go anywhere without mine and when I break/lose it, I'll buy one just like it immediately.

No, still on the first one.
Leatherman has replaced a lot of tools that have been broken/destroyed/lost for combat troops. That's good enough for me.

I used to have Leathermans as I kid and I never liked them. They were absolute junk. I know they have gotten way better over the years but I still don't trust them for some reason.
I love my SOG/Paladin Tools multitool. The gears and mechanisms are designed by world renouned military knife manufacturer SOG, and Paladin Tools is one of the top designers of industrial equipment. PT provided the datacom and networking tools on this knife.
I have a few swords too but they aren't worth posting pictures or talking about.

Were they actual Leatherman brand? I've yet to see one, old or new, that wasn't built well.
I've had a chance to handle/use just about all of the popular tools out there, and there isn't one I've seen yet that would make me want to get rid of my Charge. Most have crappy knives that are hard to use and have tools you don't need, but not the tools you do. If I had the ability to design a multi tool just for my needs, I honestly don't think I could do any better than the Charge.
The closest competitor IMO is the Victorinox tools. They are built well.

Yes they were actual Leatherman brands. It just seemed like they were always so easy to get sand or dirt into and then they would be absolutely useless. Couldn't get the tools out, everything felt gritty.
Victorinox Swiss Army knives are nice. I've had probably a dozen of them since I was a kid. I love how handy they are, but they do have their own issues. The plastic sides crack, bend, warp, stretch, and break off, the springs on the scissors and pliers tend to bend and never line up right, and they are the BIGGEST pain in the ass to clean. But I still enjoy owning them and will probably have some the rest of my life..

Here are some of my favorite pieces.
I really have a weakness for theater knives that are ID'ed.
The first one belonged to Staff Sergeant Oliver Reeder who served in all three theaters of WWII. His name is etched on the blade. I also have his uniform. The knife was made in the Aleutian Islands at the start of the War.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v58/anotherlefty/0802003.jpg
This one belonged to Bud Mann. Don't know anything more, but I assume that he served in the Pacific due to the design:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v58/anotherlefty/0802002.jpg
I don't know who this one belonged to. In fact, there is very little known about the Everett Fighting Knife. They are very rare and nobody even knows where the company was located.
There is a knife collector on the web that is offering a reward to anyone that can provide information about the Everett Company.
Some of the knives have black handles, but most are green.
Most of them were in the hands of soldiers or marines that served in the Pacific and that leads people to believe that it was a west coast company.
It's a serious fighting knife from the WWII era.

It was the USN Forum knife, had to get it. Members got a discount too! It's my first lock back with FRN, not digging the lockback, way slower than my axis knives.
Like the way the handle feels and the wave opener though! VG-10 Steel should prove nice.

Better hurry, only 3 left in the world for purchase from the SFO. I hate combo edges but the serrations on this one are nice, would have gotten plain edge if it was available.

You don't speed re-holster guns, the same applies to knives.
The Axis is a good system, but give the lockback some time, you will learn to love it. There's a few tricks to it as well I can show you.
I have been full circle (multiple times) and I always come back to a Spyderco FRN lockback. They're the best IMO.

I agree with you on the speed holster a gun part, but for using a knife for a quick utility cut, there is not reason I shouldn't be able to easily close it with a one handed flick to put it back away where it needs to be. Also my axis knives are easier to open with my left hand versus the lock back.
I'd like to check out your Endura and see if it's easier to manipulate. And shiow me those tricks ,better be some ninja stuff

Certainly nothing ninja. You can open/close a Spyderco with each hand just as easily as an Axis lock once you have built some muscle memory. Quick cuts and back to the pocket are no problem.
You will become addicted to the wave.
And I carry a Delica yo. Endura's are for owners with penis envy. :hide:
Here's the concept.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbmLhzeIwiI&feature=related
All lockback Spydercos have an un-sharpened choil section just for this purpose. The Boye Dent makes it even easier to index. Use your index finger toward the front of the handle, depress the lock, flick the blade down, then rotate in your hand to close the knife. This works with ALL Spyderco lockbacks. This is also the reason they use the mid spine lockback location. These are the little tidbits you pick up about them that really shows how much thought go into them. The more I learn the more I'm amazed. They're the Glock of the knife world.

I do have a feeling that the wave is going to have me hooked, I was also looking into a Delica also haha.
I have been using that method today, and It does make it quick, my axis locks are still way easier to used with both hands. really like the spyderco, just like my benchmades more :) I'll have fun using both:o

It's an Horkos fighter manufactured by Spartan Blades.
http://spartanbladesusa.com/cart/index.php
Quality is exceptional and their customer service is outstanding.
Spartan is owned by a couple of retired special forces guys. The knives are made using the latest technology.
Steel is S30V.
Blades are heat and cryo treated, pressure tempered and PVD coated with canvas micarta handles.
Earlier in this thread I had indicated that I would be giving my son a Randall when he graduates from basic training. I changed my mind when I found out he didn't like the finger grooves on it.

Not good enough for me. Leatherman is fighting against what our troops, and all the troops before them have fought for. Being anti-Constitution and pro troops is being two faced for their own political correctness and profit.

A couple Benchmades, an A.J.Russel "Muskrat" (it`s always in my pocket along with the Mini-Grip below it) and a old Browning folding hunter of some forgotten model.

I'm old-fashioned I guess. Not much into the new knife styles/brands.

Here are a few of mine, made by Rudy Ruana in Montana many years ago. I used to visit him in his blacksmith shop and watch him hand forge blades. Rudy's wife made the sheaths for all of his knives. Hunters would bring him their elk horns and he would trade them for a knife. I used to buy them for $18.00-$25.00 they are now out of sight, some made by Rudy are selling for a few thousand dollars. http://rhruana.com/http://www.tollelege.org/RUDY-RUANA-BOWIE,i170371552636,c1401.html

During WWII, Mr. Ruana tried to make a fighting knife for every soldier from Montana and give it to the, I don't know if he succeeded but I do know that a lot of soldiers got them.

I bought this from Michael Morris at the Birch Run gun show. He makes these. Seems to be a quality piece to me. Would like to get another style from him.

Bought my first Ruana in 1967 in Great Falls, Mt. The office I was in used to give a Ruana knife to any person assigned, when they were transferred, seperated or retired from the Air Force. Wish I had some of those knives now. You can still get a Ruana made by Rudy's son in law and a grandson but they just aren't the same.
