My AR is a mid-length DTI kit built on a Stag lower. I can't speak to how consistant they are from gun to gun, but my kit was very good, and I have not had even the slightest issue with it.

even better! i might have to pick up one of those scratch n dents if i cant find an upper at the gun show this weekend. almost makes me wish i wouldnt have started building my lower... :-(
