Brand new at S&G Shooters Supply in Muskegon, asking price is $319. This one is made after the recall serial# range that Ruger put out a notice on. The shop # is 231-755-3863.
Maybe I should shop around more

I paid $269 just up the road at Port City. Still, $319 is less than some sell them for.
When was it that you paid that price?

They were that price this summer. I don't think the MSRP has increased, so the only reason the price is higher at some stores is greed.
... greed.
Was that really necessary?
MSRP is $347. $269 is an exceptional deal, my local store has them for $299, but $319 is still in the realm of usual in this market.
My $.03 (tough market, ya know:twocents: :naughty: )

Have you ever seen any other Ruger sell anywhere near their MSRP? ;)

Oh, I agree with you there, but it does tend to be proportional. You might find a $700 MSRP gun selling for $575, but you wouldn't expect to find a $125 markdown on a $350 gun. In the LCP example, $80 off MSRP, for a gun that is still in demand and backordered at many stores, is a great deal. The decision on whether $299 or $319 is a good deal lies with the potential purchaser.

I paid $349 a couple months ago....so I think anything less is a good deal!

So you support prices above MSRP as normal or justified? My comment was purely about prices above MSRP.
I misread your original statement as denigrating those stores that simply have higher prices than others, and attributing that to greed; that was what I disagreed with.
Regarding charging prices higher than MSRP, I don't have a problem with that either. Market forces determine what the store can successfully charge in light of what people are willing to pay. MSRP is not some magical number that falls from the heavens. MSRP is just Ruger's estimation of the value of their product compared to the MSRP of competitive products (in the consumer's eye), and also gives the retail outlet room to maneuver in their particular market niche. I would venture to guess (no, I KNOW) that there are markets where stores are getting full MSRP and more for guns that we expect to get at a discount of 15% or more, and vice versa.
Thanks to the original poster for letting the list know where this often hard-to-find gun is available in Muskegon. If you happen to be looking for one south of Grand Rapids, Schanz Supply in Otsego has it for $299. If you live in Muskegon, get it there; the $20 difference won't pay for gas for the trip.

There is nothing wrong with other members sharing their findings on these type of postings as long as they are not stomping an add for a member selling and item for a freind type thing (selling for brother, estste etc). Otherwise feel free to discuss away on the Found A Deal section.
Bickering posts were dumped. If ya'll must carry on do it this. Otherwise carry on.

Still there, cheaper then the current Gander sale
I was just in Al & Bob's Sporting goods in Grand Rapids/Wyoming and they had the Ruger LCP for $299.99 and Bersa Thunder CC for $299.99. Seemed to be a good deal for a LGS.
