This is a recipe that a friend of mine sent me...along with the link about how to make them. The name obviously doesn't do them justice...but for deer camp, they are an all time hit!

Bunches of these, cold beer (or your beverage of choice), football and good friends...it doesn't get much better!

Enjoy!

BBQ'ed heart attack! To say nothing of the massive explosion in the tent at deer camp! But they do look good even to a non meat eater! :-D

Looks awesome! But I don't have a smoker...is there a way to cook them otherwise? Maybe the oven at 250 degrees?

There sure is! I buy hickory chips and either save a soup or tuna can to put the chips in or use heavy duty aluminum foil, make a pouch, poke a few holes in the top and put it over the burner on the grill.
I have a triple burner propane grill with a temp gauge and I use the foil pouch method. I use only one burner to keep the chips smoking and I have the ABTs off to the opposite side. Once the chips start smoking, I put the ABTs on, wait for a few minutes and check the gauge, if it's not hot enough, I just turn up the burner. Once it gets close to 250 I let 'em go!

A local restaurant/caterer makes these over here. Man, are they good.

I'd leave some of the seeds in the peppers for a little extra heat, but that's just me. YMMV.
