Steve, I've been wondering. Are you able to write all of that stuff as business expenses?

My AR has a Vietnam-era Colt 4-power scope with BDC. It came off an M-16 with serial #4999, which is in my cousin's Class III collection. The new M-4's, in my opinion, are much nicer rifles.

started with these on my M&P 15T, S&W/Troy folding battle sights.

switched to one of these (snagged it off of my 9mm carbine)
Bushnell trophy 1x32 red dot.
http://images.hayneedle.com/mgen/master:BUP434.jpg
Then switched to one of these:
Trijicon 2.5-10x56mm scope
http://www.samson-mfg.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/TR22-1.jpg
and now I'm back to the first one. The bushnell red-dot didn't give me enough accuracy at 100 yards, and the trijicon was too bulky for that gun...so now I'm keeping my eyes open for something nice and light with a variable power somewhere around 3-9x that still has good light gathering capabilities for twilight/night shooting.

Brand new to AR's but my MP-15 is running an Aimpoint Comp M2 in a GGG quick disconnect. BUIS is a MaTech rear and a M.I. front. Also got a GGG Troy-style rear with the Aimpoint that I never mounted, as it's not adjustable for elevation! The MaTech is one touch range optimized 200-600 yards for a 55-62 gr. Only thing I really like about the Troy-style rear BUIS is the 2 apertures and the ability to switch to a night sight aperture. Been thinking about getting one for the GGG and a tritium post for the front. Looking at Eotechs for my 870/1895 GS

I went a little inexpensive on mine. Vortex Strikefire red/green dot with screw on 2X multiplier. Shot with it for about 6 hours 2 weeks ago, it held on good being beat up all day. $149.99 plus tax

I have one of those on a Hi-Point carbine. I find the dot is not very bright on sunny days. It's good enough for the Hi-Point.
On my AR, I have a Eotech 512. I consider battery life to be the down side of the Eotech. I run lithium batteries and one set will last me a season of what I consider moderate shooting. I would like to add a magnifier when I can afford to.

That is not good... I'm gonna try to kill my 557 at one of your carbine classes this spring... What is the major problem you see? Lemme guess..Battery case.
