Software update question

Ok after the last week or so, its getting boring playing games removing new members because they just want to put a name on the member list to make us look bad, MCRGO has been struck with the same trivial garbage.


Now there is a software upgrade that would stop 99% of this, but, and yes there is always a "but" you have to register a legit email addy, it will not except "free email addy's" example yahoo, hotmail, netscape etc..... This would take some work off the admin staff if its alright with the majority of you.

Anyone with a "free email" would have to go into their profile and change there email addy to stay active, I know its a bit of a hassle, thats why I am asking, instead of just doing it.
Your email addy will not be givin out to anyone, only admins will be able to see it.

I am all for using real email addresses.

Many of the email listservs that I am on are now requiring the real address. And, the next step I see coming is that every poster use a recognizable name somewhere.

It seems that some internet users are getting tired of talking to people who go by names like "bigfan" or "gunowner" or "45mkij**" or whatever.

But, I kinda like the possible upgrade and I don't think I would have to do anything.

If it makes it easier for you guys, then do it. You are doing a great job. Proof of that (not that it's needed) is that you asked for opinions before deciding. The added bennie is that it will weed out some of the nitwits.

Yeah Rob, do it. A lot of the spam I get is Yahoo, Hotmail, and that kind of trash. Whatever you can do to keep anonomous users who are unfriendly to the MGOUC message board would be fine with me. We are uncensored (mostly), but not unknown. 8)
