Just put on a pot of venison chili and started to flip through the TV and what is on but Surviving Nugent on VH1.

He has 6 poeple on his ranch in Jackson and has them learn to survive in the wild. There is a Anilmal Rights B***, talent agen, college student and a few others.

Pretty wild. I think it is going to be on at 8 or 9 tonight again.

VH1

The channel number will vary depending on how your cable systems sets up their channels. Check the TV guide that came with the paper. It might be listed there for your area and/or cable system.

My favorite part was when Jim hauled the vegan out in the back of that old pick up and said something like good riddence you vegan b#tch. I only caught the 2nd hour, i'll have to watch it again tonight.

Moderately silly, but good for chuckles.

I'm trying to decide whether that Glock was the 17 or the 21; you don't see the casings fall long enough to tell for sure.

But I'm sure "The Nuge" wouldn't be caught dead with something as wimpy as a l'il ole' 9mm. :)

Hilarious
The "reasoning" of the Vegan girl was downright goofy. "Nugent is a hypocrite because if he was a real outdoorsman, he would hunt naked with his bare hands and not use a gun or a bow" (ie: tools).
I guess she forgets what separates humans and animals....the human mind. Kinda felt a little sorry for her as she looked so tortured by her contradictory beliefs and unhappiness.

Joe probably would have won if not for spending so much time at the Table of Feces!!

Ted is known to sing the praises of the 10mm. Don't know if he would hand one of those to a new shooter. I hope not.

Silly vegan wouldn't jump into the pool to save the geese because her clothes would get wet? What kind of animal rights activist is she?

Yeah I thought that was a little out of touch with the anomals. I don't want to ruin my clothes so I will let the geese will get killed.

If I remember right when we talked to him at an old OUTDOORAMA (at the State Fairgrounds) many, many years ago he pulled out a magazine loaded with 9mm which he stated was his carry load.

At one time the 9mm was the caliber of choice for everyone. It was the "wonder-9" for a reason.

Ted carries a model 20 with night sights in 10mm loaded with cor-bon ammo! trust me i know this

Funniest show I've seen in a long time. I want to see Carl Levin, Nancy Pelosi, Pam Anderson and Bill Mahr on the show someday.

Yes...and some of their views could be used on the "Table of Dung"

Ted seems to have had a lot of different favorities in carry guns and calibers over the years. I wonder if anyone remembered some of the early ones. A revolver rings a bell for some reason.

I read Ted's book "God, Guns, and Rock and Roll" a couple of years ago and he had a list of some of the different guns he had carried. I don't remember what they were but I do remember that the man seemed to change carry guns every couple of years.

Well I pulled my copy off the shelf and there on page 65...for many years a S&W M29 .44 mag filled the small of my back.

1911 .45
.38 special snub
.357 snub
9mm Beretta
.380 Walther PPK stainless
Taurus 9mm
and a long list of other calibers...

I thought I was the only one who had read that book. To be honest, I have not finished it yet. I am waiting till I go to another match.

I'm pretty sure Kurt and Deputy are correct. When Ted was the host on the old "Bear" 102.7 he mentioned the 10 many times. The casings on the ground looked like that also.
From the editing I noticed, I would bet he only put in one round per shooter.

Did anyone see when he had Conan O'brian at his place? Kind of the same thing having Conan doing a bunch of work. It was a hoot!

It's too bad they had to tear down that house because of black mold...

and BTW the show was only a one time deal, but, who knows? I'm sure VH-1 will be airing this one for along time. Probably their best show ever.

I heard this was a trial show and that if it does well there will be more episodes.

Yes he did mention a 10MM many times over the last sevreal years but those guns I listed are his own words. He has done like many of us switch carry guns based on time and situation.

I never ever watch VH1 TV until I read on this thread about Ted Nugent being on.
I watched the show and it was very amusing.

If the online TV Guide is correct, the show will repeat again:

Fri Oct 10th at 11pm
Sat Oct 11th at 11am
Sat Oct 11th at 11pm
Sun Oct 12th at 7pm

Only problem I have had is that I fall asleep about 55 minutes into the first hour. I have no idea if anyone won or who it was.

The last two were the inner city guy with an attitude and the alternative lifestyle guy. The alternative lifestyle guy won handily due to a severe lack of skills in scat identifying by Mr. Attitude.

I think he was more of an "inner city guy wannabe." His brief description was "college student."
