Any use Empire Carpet??

I had an Empire Carpet guy come to my house and sell me some carpet. He was a little high priced, but you get the added convience of the house call plus "NEXT DAY" installaion if you so desire.

I wanted Saturday installation, and it was quality SHAW and MOHAWK carpet, so I made the deposit and took his offer.

I just wonder if anyone else used them, and what their opinions were.

I have been in the carpet and flooring business for about 6 years now, and here is what I can tell you.

You will pay more for them, as you are paying for the convience of them coming to your home and showing you samples.
Their selection is limited, because they keep all their floorcovering in stock for the quick installation.
I have never heard anything bad about them, other than the usual 'they promised me it would go in on this date and then they said they were out of stock' type complaints. This happens with ALL carpet companies. Rolls run out, are short, are damaged, etc.
