Words of wisdom, who ever stole your guns has been in your house before, either a friend of a friend or of your kids. They watched your house to get your sehedule and waited for you to leave.

Further they will be back for anything else they may have taken a fancy to. Lastly be sure that reports are on file with the State, County and local police, they do not share information on thefts. Keep on them all about the investigation.

One more thing if they broke into a safe of any kind to steal your stuff they broke in on federal turf and you need to press for charges be brought on a federal scale.
Been there done that.

Sounds like you lost a bunch of nice guns.
Sorry to hear it!

Guess I better double check my inventory and make sure I have all the serial numbers right and in a seperate and safe location.

I will print out your list and carry it with me.

Good luck

Wow. That's a lot of guns to have stolen at one time. SOunds like someone who had prior knowledge.

Did they bust open your safe? I mean, with that many guns they were stored in a locked safe, right?

Thanks to everyone for the advice and keeping an eye out for the guns. Yes they were all in a liberty safe. They took the whole safe in my pickup truck. The cops found my truck with the pried open safe in the back in a field in Tuscola county. My stupidity for not bolting the safe down. You can bet it won't happen again.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. :( Plenty of nice weapons you had,I'll keep a eye out for them,as well.Sounds like some great advice, especially about the breaking a safe being a federal crime, never heard of that before. Definately sounds like a inside job. Hopefully your insurance will allow you to go and shop for replacements.I got a friend up around there (Otter Lake),I'll check with him.
