Hey All,
Found this link on GlockTalk, which is where I usually lurk. More of a post reader/learner from the knowledge than a poster. Been there for a couple years. Looking forward to a decent local forum, especially with info on local shoots, particularly IDPA. Only done it (IDPA) once prior but hoping to get out a bit more this year. Used to frequent MCRGO a couple years ago, but things changed there. Do recognize some names though. I'm pretty much a Glock enthusiast (19, 30, 32) but do like Sigs also (currently just a P228).

Welcome, Glkster19. You picked a nice place to hang your hat. It looks like we have a few things in common. I had a G19. I loved it, but it broke. Yes, that's right, it broke, and no, I'm not particularly hard on my guns. Of course, I was training pretty hard and put about 8000 rounds through it in about 6 weeks, but after that I decided to stick with the Sigs. I have a 230, 232, 239 (my carry gun of choice) and a way cool dessert camo 228 my hubby got me for Christmas. And, although none of my sigs have ever had so much as a jam, I still enjoy shooting a Glock on occasion.
If you're planning on doing IDPA, we might run into each other at a match some time, as I am getting involved in that myself. We have some great people on this board who are involved in IDPA as well as IPSC.
Welcome aboard!

Welcome, Glkster! I also post on GlockTalk from time to time.
What I don't like about GlockTalk is that there are so many participants that a new thread (when interesting) only has a few hours before it gets bogged down with dozens of posts. Posts tend to be garbage useless stuff making the good posts easy to miss.
I remember the MCRGO forums when they were open to the public. It was such a large target that a lot of jerks were attracted who would think nothing of demeaning other participants when they were in disagreement. It surprises me that as large as GlockTalk is that you don't see enough offensive posts to matter.
Anyhow, this is where I post the most and I think you will like it here. Welcome.

Welcome Glkster. Hope you like it here. I shoot IDPA over at the Linden Sportsmans Club near Fenton. They have a great range and the stages are always fun.

I hear ya there. It was real nice when there were only a handful of members that actually posted in General Glocking, now there are a zillion members and everything is in GNG. It's became more of a "Coffee Shop" than a gun board. Don't get me wrong, I still pick up helpful info there and enjoy some of the posts, but I don't go there as often as before. I think Eric is doing a wonderful job from the perspective of keeping it up to date, seems he is always upgrading his servers, etc to make it faster and accomodate the extra users.

Sorry to hear about that Glock issue
Yeah, I know that Glock issue is pretty bad. I'm thinking of adding a G33 and maybe a full-size (17 or 31) to shoot IDPA with. By adding both of these, it should address this issue I think. :hick:
