Tomorrow is the caucus for the democrats. Caucus sites are here - http://www.midemocrats.org/

----------------------------

On the gun issue, all of them suck as far as I'm concerned, but some are worse than others. We have running. Dean's probably the least worst on guns, but he's still anti.

John Kerry - The absolute worst on guns IMO. His record speaks for itself - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1061305/posts

John Edwards - He voted for the gun show ban back in 1999 or 2000 while a NC senator. He said he backed the AW ban.

Dennis Kucinich - 100% anti voting record, said he's from the gun control wing of the party.

Howard Dean - Says he doesn't support additional laws, but does support the AW ban, and opposed banning lawsuits against gun manufacturers.

Al Sharpton - I think he's anti, but to what extent I don't know.

Wes Clark - Says anyone that needs an 'AW' needs to join the military.

Gephardt, Lieberman, Carol Mosely Braun dropped out.

I think the Dems have made a mistake with Kerry. I suspect if Dean could have kept his foot out of his mouth, and partnered up with Braun, he'd have taken Bush.

Kerry scares the bejeebers out of me.

I think the Dems have made a mistake with Kerry.
Other than Sharpton, Kerry would be my top choice. My greatest fear would be if Lieberman were to take the nomination. I think it is really unlikely that any of them at all would have a chance of actually taking the Whitehouse but Lieberman does not have the radical nature associated with him and would have the best chance of winning in the general election. As much as I am disappointed with Bush, I would shudder to think of a DemoRat in the Whithouse and the congress that might follow through on his coat tails.

As it is with Kerry, I think the 2004 election will be a re-run of the 1972 election of Nixon/McGovern. It might also be appropriate to say that the 1968 election of Nixon/Humphrey was similar. But if Iraq goes radically south all bets are off. But I still say that Hilleary is a shoe-in for 2008. With that consideration I don't see how the DemoRats could allow a DemoRat win in 2004.

I'd have to go with Kerry...if I was going vote Dem. I consider myself an Independent, but do lean to right. Now speaking of 2008, what are the thoughts on Condi Rice? I think she is absolutely brilliant. Probably wrapped too tight for the Presidency but she would get my vote regardless of who is running then. I flat do not like Hillary and can't understand how NYC elected her to the Senate. Doesn't say too much for the NYC electorate in my view but it seems we have the electorate in Detroit. I do give her credit for putting up with Bill but I think she has a few skeletons in the closet as well. Feel kinda sorry for Chelsy but I think she'll do ok on her own.
