Vote Draws Near On Bill (S. 659/S. 1806) To Stop
Frivolous Lawsuits Against Firearms Industry

Since 1998, dozens of municipalities and cities have filed suit against America's firearms industry, falsely alleging that it is responsible for the unforseen acts of criminals. Fortunately, 33 states and the U.S. House of Representatives have passed legislation to prohibit these reckless lawsuits aimed at bankrupting U.S. firearms and ammunition manufacturers.

Unfortunately, the U.S. Senate has not yet followed suit, and Americans remain one anti-gun judge or one anti-gun jury away from seeing the firearms industry destroyed. After much delay, the U.S. Senate is now planning to vote on this issue in March. That is why it is critically important to contact your U.S. Senators and urge them to pass S. 659/S. 1806.

Anti-gun Senators will likely attempt to amend this bill with legislation to ban gun shows and to extend and expand the ban on semi-automatic firearms (www.clintongunban.com). To protect the future of America's millions of gun owners, it is vital that the Senate pass S. 659/S. 1806 without any anti-gun amendments.

Your Senators need to know that this bill is about saving jobs, and protecting our rights. Use the "Write Your Representatives" tool to contact your Senators and let them know it's time to stop playing politics with the Second Amendment. We have included talking points and sample letters that may be helpful when contacting members of the media and your Senators.

Urge your Senators to fully support S. 659/S. 1806 without any anti-gun amendments!

Ask them to do everything in their power to end these meritless lawsuits and ensure that this essential legislation is approved as written. Tell them it's time to pass S. 659/S. 1806! With your help, we will win this fight and see this critical legislation signed into law.
