So when the Assult Weapons ban goes down in flames how will that effect the price of long arms and clips?
If I recall correctly the price of semi autos really went up when that passed.
looks like I might pick up some hi cap mags in a few months.

IF the ban sunsets, magazine prices will return to normal.
Some long gun prices will come down, such as later pre-ban AR15s. I think the early Colt ARs (SP1s) will probably not drop very much simply due to the fact that they will not be reproduced.
Many of the preban import rifles (Norinco AKs, Steyr AUG, ect.) will hold their prices due to the fact they they have been banned from importation (seperate legislation) and there won't be any more, ever.
FAL kits and pre and post ban rifles will continue to go up in value for the same reason.
HKs will soon be manufactured in the US, so some of their guns that were not previously available due to import regs will be readily available.
My personal opinion on the ban is that it will be allowed to sunset, but after the election we will see new, more restrictive legislation pushed thru and signed by whoever sits in the Oval Office.

Unfortunately, I think you're right on the money ... :(
looks like George II is not doing well (but that might change) and that overall, the Other-Side may make headway in both houses, Karcent may be correct.
I hope not but...................
