    Weapons; licensing; certain firearm licensing information; exempt from freedom of information act. Amends secs. 2 & 2a of 1927 PA 372 (MCL 28.422 & 28.422a).

    I would rather see them work towards repealing purchase permits all together.

    Thought I was having another Déjà Vu moment. Then I realized that I had read this before.

    This is an exact duplicate of the Senate Bill, 2013-SB-0049, which has already passed through the Senate Committee and is now back to the floor for a vote.

    It could be that both houses are trying to fast track this language into law.
    I have said it before, if they really want it, they can make it happen.

    Its a positive knee jerk reaction to the New York paper publishing Lawful firearms owner information.
    Until they do away with the registration/purchase system completely, I know I would prefer my info to be keep private. ( I bet some of our anti-gun gun owning politicians Really want this to pass quickly)

    Vote to not recommend and instead go with the list of bills just below that one.

    Sometimes I wonder what they are doing, other times not.
