"Information received under this subdivision is confidential, is not subject to disclosure under the freedom of information act, 1976 PA 442, MCL 15.231 to 15.246, and shall not be disclosed to any person except for purposes of this act or for law enforcement purposes."

That Lawful Protection is for CPL Holders only for Personal Information provided pursuant to obtaining a CPL.Originally Posted by G22

SB0049 of 2013 does not list that text as BOLD or STRIKETHROUGH, which means that the text is merely being listed as referenced and existing law.
SB0060 is meant to change that specific text and is not affected by SB0049.
