    Question Night vision monoculars

I am looking to add an AN-PVS 14 monocular to my tool kit. My question is the difference between Gen 2+ and Gen 3 (besides $500). Also, are there REPUTABLE companies that sell refurbished (with a warrantee) versions of Gen 2+ and 3.

IF I have to pay $3000 for a new, Gen 3 unit, I will since this is my one purchase of night vision and I don't plan on buying any more. But if there are reputable 2+ refurbished out there, someone let me know so I can save $1000.

    I have a Gen 3 PVS-14 for sale.
It's basically new, since I only used it to demo IR strobes for police departments.
Never been used outside, and has maybe 10 minutes of use total.

I bought two cheaper monoculars before I finally spent the money on a pvs14. If you can afford gen 3 right off the bat then I would suggest you do that. I took pretty big losses each time I sold my old ones to buy the next step up. I would also make sure you get an American made tube.
