Thumbs up Female Only Gun Camps on Rise in U.S.

I am surprised that a UK paper has posted this but they did. Good for them! Maybe the UK isn't entirely lost to the "world of reality".

Gun camps for women are seeing a rise in attendance from female teachers, lawyers and even nuns thanks to a mum of two.

Quote:
"Every woman in America should shoot a gun," said Mrs Ferns, who has more than 20 in her home collection.

She added "As long as the woman is a legal and law-abiding citizen I feel they should at least have a basic education in firearms safety."

There is a reason why there are female-only gun camps, and female-only CCW classes.

We dont have female only rock concerts, nor do we have female only english classes.

Get rid of the need for female-only gun camps and you will see more females owning and shooting guns.

I've talked to many women about it and many said they'd be more comfortable training with just other women. They said that since most men shooters tend to have more experience, they act macho and all-knowing around the women.

This is the women's opinion, not mine.

Thats hard to qunatify, but that's why there are female only work out clubs etc. I guess they feel more comfortable around other women. I've met some women shooters and cops who are quite intimitading and cocky.

hmmmmm. must be THIS generation....

I remember growing up.... all we had to fear from the females, was ...
sticks and hairspray......

Using a weapon was pretty much a given..... or at least familiarity with them was.....
