Wonder if it was the same whackjob that walked into Receiving Hospital with 2 training grenades about 2 years ago. I was there doing clinicals that night. Not exactly fun. I gotta say seing some sort of law enforcement or fire vehicle stacked end to end on both sides of the street from mack to warren all with their lights going was mildly impressive

I know of a guy who had a whole case of live 100% working hand grenades a couple years back. US Military issued, right out of some armory somewhere.

No idea what ever happened with him or those though. I never even knew his real name, only his nickname. I do know he was int he military though and he always had some type of stolen military **** for sale.

Those tend to be the types of people I try to stay away from lol.

we found an undetonated japanese bomb under a driveway about 12 years ago. Bomb squad came out and removed the "core" and they gave us the shell. hey said the japanese would tie them to high altitude balloons and let them go. They said that they've been found all over the west coast but michigan was odd.

There were a few found in Michigan. They aren't as well known because not as many landed here and none caused any injuries. Also the government got the papers to agree to not do very much reporting on the ballon bombs for fear of starting a panic.

I read an article a few years ago in Michigan History I believe that talked about the ballon bombs that landed in Michigan.
