I don't get it either. I expected outrage from the medical community but I've hardly heard a wimper.

Last week Glenn Beck interviewed several doctors (about 50 or so) and asked for a show of hands that either was for and then against... the younger doctors for the most part, were for the health care plan. The older doctors truly fear what will become a travesty of our medical system as a whole. Chalk it up to blind idealism on the part of the youth...I have kids that are highly educated, think the same way. The times that I bite my tongue and shake my head. Some day..... they will get it, but *it* will be too late.

Tote, I think you nailed it.

It is naivety to believe that this world can somehow be perfected and that we are getting better but I fear that's what the trend is.

Our Founding Fathers didn't build into our government fail safes and the right to completely throw it off, if needed, because they were optimistic. It is blind optimism that is fueling both political correctness and trust in the government to bring us "forward" and correct the ills of the world.

The AMA is rethinking their stance as of yesterday afternoon.

Good for Mike Rogers. I wish that guy could be our governor.
