I would move on if someone (especially here) did not reply or contact me within 24 hours.
Nothing has been set in stone yet as to plan any meeting or payment, so if they do not reply, they must not want to sell or buy it too bad |

I often ask questions etc. about an item for sale, if I do not reply within 24 hours, I would not be offended or surprised if when I do reply the item is gone.
Now, if I was selling something and someone didn't ask a question but told me they would take said item.... I would give them maybe 2 or 3 days before moving on to other offers. I guess I'm saying an "I'll take it" carries more weight to me than an "Ooh, I think I may want this"....

agreed. if the buyer actually said i want it or ill take it. then i would give it about 2 days...unless you have followed up and got nothing.

Every situation can be different. As commented above, there is not enough info on you being the buyer, seller, or dis-interested third party to give an answer. Roger

Until I have a definite "I'll take it" I continue to communicate with anyone who shows an interest in what I have for sale. Once I have received an "I'll take it" I will probably wait no longer than 24 hours for the buyer to contact me to arrange a meeting place and/or payment. In the mean time, I mark the item SPF (sold pending funds). If I don't hear from the buyer in 24 hours, the item becomes available again and I turn to the next individual who has expressed an interest. I understand that not everyone lives on their computer but once an individual has agreed to buy from me, I expect him/her to follow through fairly quickly. My sales/purchases usually require considerable travel time for me and I have to be able to arrange my calendar to accommodate them. ![]()
