Probably not. They would probably say that you were going to do something wrong with ur "evil" gun and had a change of heart then prosecute you. You also have to look at the fact that most ppl dont want to learn the ins and outs or the differences between the guns. To them everything is either an ak style gun or an assault rifle style weapon.

education!

Funny thing is that most anti-gun people really have no clue about firearms, they claim to be smart and educated, but yet, get all their fears and info from TV shows, go figure. Remember the underlying theme here, guns don't have a place in a dictatorship or socialist society.

This was unrefuted in the absence of a defendant to argue otherwise and in the meantime, SBS' were in use by the military.

This may have been the reason briefs were not filed: (pulled from another post)

The Government appealed that decision to the supreme court. Curiously, Miller was killed before the case was heard, and his lawyer, in the middle of the great depression, could not afford to pay his own way to washington DC. The case was heard with only the Prosecution making arguments. There was no brief filed or any representative for the defense. The SCOTUS overturned the earlier court ruling and found that the government can make laws affecting firearms not commonly used by military/militias. The strange thing was that none of the justices believed that a sbs was military weapon, when in fact there had been sbs issued during wwi to the us troops.

It's the same with ammo. I know many people who tell me hollow point ammo is illegal. Needless to say, they're not CPLs carriers. Dum Dums.

I remember getting mad at the news when they were covering the fort hood shooting. They went to the FNH military website and brought up the specs for the SS190 penetrator round to explain how the FiveseveN is designed to defeat body armor. What they didn't say that is posted in the round's specs is that that cartridge is not available to civilians. Also they didn't mention that the SS190 was meant to be fired out of the 10 inch barreled P90 and loses allot of its penetration ability when fired out of the FiveseveN pistol. Another thing, the FiveseveN is called the "cop killer" gun, but to my knowledge, it has never been used to kill a cop. I don't remember if the cop that was shot at Fort Hood died, or was even shot with this gun.

The ak wasn't popular with gang-bangers until the media popularized it through vilification of the weapon.

The FN's not popular with criminals because both the gun and the round are EXPENSIVE. Besides, everyone knows that the only real gangbangin' gun is a Glock Fotay'

Every time I hear about these "assault weapon" bans I think my head is gonna explode! An assault weapon is fully automatic, compact, lightweight and fires ammo at a very high rate. Fully automatic weapons are already outlawed, except to the very few, priveleged, gun collectors, police and the military. And they are already regulated up the ying-yang. Even SWAT memebers have to fill out a ton of paperwork to check one out. And the fools that are getting them illegally, for illegal purposes, well, they are NOT going to follow the law to begin with. At least let me keep my semi-auto firearms in case I ever run up against one of these jerks. I'll likely lose the battel, but at least a semi-auto gives me some chance.
