Yes, but then for all practical purposes, it was DOA.

I received the following from my Rep:

Dear Jonathan,

Thank you for your email regarding HB 4334. I appreciate you taking the time to express your support of this legislation.

This legislation introduced by Rep. Lori is currently before the House Committee on the Judiciary, which unfortunately is not a Committee that I am currently a member of. However, be assured I will keep your support of this bill in mind when it comes before me for a vote on the House floor.

Additionally, you may also be interested in a few other bills regarding 2nd amendment rights. I recently sponsored HB 5471, which was in a package of 8 bills. The bill numbers are 5470, 5472, 5471, 5473, 5520, 5474, 5302, and 5303. The package was referred to the committee on Tourism, Outdoor Recreation and Natural Resources, and passed on October 27th. The bills are now waiting to be taken up on the House floor and voted on by all 110 Representatives.

My bill required concealed pistol license holders from another state to adhere to Michigan law governing concealed pistol holders while in Michigan. Other goals of the package are to allow an authorized manufacturer or gun dealer to purchase, possess, and transport a pistol as merchandise and to allow people to keep their firearms in their vehicles in a parking lot at their place of employment.

You may visit (www dot legislature dot mi dot gov) to review the current status of the bills. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Respectfully,

Jennifer

Yes, we can all make a difference. Write your representatives, they work for you!! I sent my emails in support of this bill. Express your views in the way that works for you, but do express them to the people that need to hear.
