SN:52459 Im told my dad's uncle brought this gun home from the war. It is seemingly in good condition with no rust. Bluing has worn away quite a bit around the action. It at one point in time had been tapped for a scope (bummer) and the old weaver is still on there i am not a gunsmith and figure its better left the way it is untill someone who knows what there doing gets it. And it is missing one screw from the clamp that holds the wood forearm toward the end of the barrel. I do not have the bayonette or the sling.

Animalsrdelicous, ive talked to you privately about this rifle. I have decided that i have no great interest in this gun unless its cheap. I put the gun up on a popular information forum and heres the results.

The gun is not an artillery carbine but is worth some good money, but the scope destroys collector value. Since the gun has so much family significance i would keep it unless you really need the cash.
