September 19, 2010 Linden Sportsmen Club will sponsor a match dedicated to the "M1 Carbine, War Baby". Forty rounds for score, plus sighters, using all four positions and will include in the match fee Lake City ammunition for use in the match. This will be the final sanctioned CMP event at LSC for this year so as a little extra incentive after the carbine match we will hold a "Service Rifle Fun Match". This second match will be for bragging rights only, no awards, but we will have 30.06 HXP available @ $15 for 40 rounds for use in the match.

Eligible Rifles: M1 Carbine, CMP rule 9.5.2 applies.

Safety: Eye & Ear protection required, ECI’s mandatory. Special loading
instructions specific to the M1 Carbine will be covered during the
safety briefing.

Match Fee: $25.00.

CMP LC Ammo: .30 carbine, 50 rounds, included in match fee.

Course of Fire: M1 Carbine Match Course of Fire with SR-1 targets.

Sighters: 5 sighter’s maximum in 5 minutes.
Slow Prone: 10 rounds in 10 minutes.
Rapid Prone from Standing: 10 rounds in 60 seconds, reload required.
Rapid Sitting/Kneeling from Standing: 10 rounds in 60 seconds, reload
required.
Offhand (Standing):10 rounds in ten minutes.

Awards: CMP Achievement Pins will be awarded for appropriate scores.

A little light on turn out and I missed a few of you "regulars" but with school, hunting season and not to mention your own matches I do understand. A good time was had by all with a number of really good scores posted.
