What would be a good price for a used G20, 3rd generation at 98% condition? (with two mags)

Are you the buyer or the seller? If i'm buying, no more then $450(MAX). If i'm selling, $475.

Possible buyer.
A co-worker is looking to get rid of his G20. Story goes, he went to buy a Glock and the sales person told him that the 10mm is the next step up from 9mm, only difference is the size..1mm. My co-worker, the gun nut that he isn't, believed the sales rep and bought the gun not realizing what he was getting into. Mind you also that this was his first gun ever. He took it out and only fired 10 rounds because he couldn't handle the 10mm rounds. Said the recoil was too much for him. He's looking to get rid of it and is thinking about offering it to me. He hasn't come up with a price yet but figured I'd see were my starting point is.

As another point of reference, you may wish to check Gunbroker for G20's (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/SearchResults.aspx)ending soon or Auction Arms (http://www.auctionarms.com/search/auctions.aspx) for the same thing. I did a quick search and similar used G20's with 2 magazines are in the $430 to $480 range.

I did that before I asked. Gunbroker and AuctionArms aren't really that reliable far as price is concerned, people jack the prices up.

I bought mine like new with 2 mags for 450. His asking price was 425 I threw him some extra money because he met me half way which was worth it for me. I agree the 10mm is quite a handful and not for everyone especially in the glock platform. I would say 400-425 is fair.

A better way to do this is to create an account, log in, and then search completed auctions. Then you can see what guns are actually selling for. Offer him $400 for it, and let him try to haggle you up from there.

Well so much for that.
Had a break during the action and went over to his desk. Asked him if he was still thinking about getting rid of the G20. He said yup and gave me a price......$600!!!!!!! My freaking jaw hit the ground. I shook my head no. He said he isn't coming down on price either. The guy thinks he's gonna make a profit off of it!

I did that once on a $15,000 asking price and a month or so later they called to accept my offer of just over half price, but that's another story. (building & it's condition)

I bought mine brand new for $465 in January. I got it from an out of state dealer so it cost me another $15 or $20 for the transfer. All the used ones I saw were about the same price.

If he's asking $600.00 for a slightly used Glock 20,are you sure he hasn't been looking at MGO firearms for sale forum ? :poke:  Joepistol..:pistols:
