Shoot it! It should be fine, I still shoot 9mm and .45 that I bought in the 90`s all the time. I even have ammo left over for my M1 carbine from 1967, my dad bought it during the 67 riots in Detroit. Still shoots fine.

I live close to you and I feel you should dump it to be safe. I can pick it up from you and shoot it I mean dump it for you.....

As long as ammo has not been exposed to high humidity it is usually fine. I have some ammo that is 40+ years old and have no issues.

This could be all nonsense... but a bunch of my military buddies all claim they are still shooting the same .50Cal rounds they produced in mass and stored during WWII.

My CZ52 eats ~60 year old polish surplus up like candy. Ive only had one out of ~300 fail to fire on the first strike (went off on the second strike though).

Im also shooting some .22 from the 80's. No problem at all.

Not at all. I have shot WWII surplus .50 BMG rounds through a friends rifle and had no problems at all. Stored correctly ammo can last decades.

I recently recieved fourty boxes of Remington .22LR in paper boxes manufactured in the early 1940's. I've been burning them up with my 1935 era Winchester model 63.

Same here except it was Gandpa's ,had a few FTF's though ,not bad for 43 winters in a unheated pole barn

My Gramps gave me a Savage Model # 29
When I was 16.....along with a few thousand rounds of ammo..

My 12 year old is shooting that same Model #29 and using up the remaining
ammo ....( paper box Federal and Hawthorne)

31 years later !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Burn it up !!!!!!!!!!!!

My dad bought a couple hundred rounds of 30-06 when he got his hunting rifle in the early 70's, and is still using the same ammo for hunting. He said something about he wanted to make sure that the ammo he sighted it in with and the ammo he hunts with came from the same lot number in case there was variation among different lots. I laughed at him and said something about hunting deer in the woods, not terrorists in the frickin desert.
