On Monday, 11-15-04 the Great Lakes Self-Defense Association (GLSDA) will present the “Are You Safe? A National Test on Crime Prevention” (AYS) at The Community House (TCH) in Birmingham, Michigan from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. TCH is a very prestigious and attractive center that draws a large student base from around the region. Developed by the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) and sponsored through Allstate, the AYS program is a nationally recognized, 2-hour public service event (PSE) that uses video scenarios and open discussion to engage and challenge students by presenting real world problems to solve. Topics include personal and home safety, safety in the car, rape prevention,
and community safety.

Space is limited, so pre-registration with TCH is important. For more information about the 11-15-04 workshop, please contact TCH at 248.644.5832 or visit www.communityhouse.com.

The GLSDA is a pro-self-defense advocacy group that serves as a watchdog organization while educating the public on personal and community safety, self-defense related laws and political activism. The “Are You Safe? A National Test on Crime Prevention” workshop is one of three public service events presented by GLSDA to address assault prevention, use of force and the law and gun safety.
