I would love to but my optic went down on me.

Played golf nearby today and all you could hear was the rifles going off. Made me wish I was there instead of the golf course!

How much ammo do you need to bring for a shoot like this?

Good score. I didn't do as well. It was my first match. I rushed through the first string of 20rds. I shot 20rds in about 8 minutes and when I got up the scorer next to me joked, "we know who's not gonna win". He was right.

I shot a 577 11x. Shot 185, 195 and 197. 1st string killed me.

I shot F T/R at a 3" x-ring, 6" 10-ring.

If someone is not a member, how do you zero your optics? I'd like to shoot the match at WSC tomorrow but I've just install a NightForce scope on my long range rifle. I have shot at that club several years ago when I was shooting Long Range competition.

I'm aware have this should have been done on one of the practice Wednesdays, but those are posted as "Members and Guests" only. I don't know any WSC members personally and I work in Troy during the week.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks,
HH

What caliber? Do you have zeros to 600 yards? Is it a MOA or MIl scope?

HH, I used my 100yd zero and calculated ballistics data to get me on target at 200,300,400,500,600yd. Problem is that you only get 5 shots at each distance to tweak your adjustments (with 3 additional sighters at 200) and the target is only 14.5" (although it may be posted on a 6" square backer board). Get to Island Lake or some other 100yd range and zero it at 100. There is a slight chance that the line officer may ask you to stop shooting if you are shooting low and consistently hitting the berm in front of the pits but you should be able to make scope adjustments and hit the target. Cost is $10 for the match.

if you have a good 100yd zero, add

2 minutes to get a basic 200yd zero. then add

3 minutes to get a basic 300yd zero. then add

10-12 minutes to get a basic 600yd zero.

that will get you in the black nearly every time...
