Jackson County Outdoor Club. It's their shoot, but a bunch of us were talking about going up there.
Everyone should drink large amounts of alcohol the night before. I've heard it will improve your scores.

So they can look and feel their very best the next day?

No... so I can win because they are all hung over and I don't drink so I'll be sharp as a hacky-sack :silly: :moon:

Might be fun. I am a newbie when it comes to trap and skeet, but I have been wanting to give it a try. We'll have to see what the family has planned, but we might be able to make it.

The gun makes a big difference too. I have a Remington 11-87 Premier Trap gun and I can shoot that sucker all day and never feel it. SWEEEET! :P

Me too :D Last time I did, I didn't even notice that I went through darn near 4 boxes of shells. Almost 100!!
Unfortunately, I wont be able to make it this time, but have fun.
Stay safe. 8)

Really.... that does sound sweet. I have a Remington 870 Youth and Ladies model with a shortened stock. It's a good shotgun, especially for someone like me... err... vertically challenged with short arms and limited upper body strength.  It's a lot of fun to shoot, but I have to admit it does have a bit of a kick to it, although I have worked with it at the range and gotten used to it.

Try a mercury recoil reducer. One that either goes in the hole in the butt... oo... or in the magazine. They really work. I had a Breako in my double barrel for cowboy shootng and it really slowed the gun down.

Jackson County Outdoor Club, 3550 Hart Road. Don't follow Mapquest/Yahoo. If you're coming west on 94, turn south onto US127. Take it out a few miles...Past M50. The road only goes off to the East..you'll see a storage business on the right and then Hart Road goes left. Follow that a couple miles down and you'll see the club.

I'm thinking about making a pot of venison stew. Should bring it with me or does anyone want to come back here?

I fell asleep on the couch about 11:00, I think.
Sorry you missed the shoot. We had a good time. It got a little cold but it was a lot of fun. There were a lot of people there and about 12-15 of us..we had enough kids to have a whole round of just them. Bryan's son had never shot and got 13 his first time!
I think there will be come pictures eventually.

It WAS fun! However 80 miles to pay $6.00 to shoot 2 rounds of trap is not fiscally responsible :P The company was great though and Barb is being very humble. Not only did the kids do good, Barbara...the top gun... went from 3 hits in one round to 13 in the next! Of course it was my influence but she did it. Made a mean venison stew too....that was worth the ride.... also brought me the giant fork. Thanks Barb.
Next time maybe we could meet up a little further north???? :P

Hey, I've never been accused of being humble..that was 15! :)
It probably was your influence, though.
I really did have a good time..the weather wasn't even that bad. We'll have to try it again when its a little warmer.
