I got to my tree stand and someone else was using it! So I let him stay as it seemed like the right thing to do at the time

At least you will never fear that the stand is weak. If it will hold a bear....

Not a bear... but a funny thing happened to me in a tree stand last week. Just before dawn an owl (who was probably 18" - 24" tall attempted to land on my lap.

I noticed some crap on the stand when I climbed in but hadn't given it much thought.

The owl and I both scared each other pretty bad. I guess he's been using my stand as a hunting perch.
