les baer home defense pistol

I have a les baer home defense pistol blued finish in 45 acp. I sold off the two 7-round mags that came with it and replaced the grip screw bushings so I could install standard width stocks on it. Otherwise, it is stock. There is some very light scratching on the left side of the slide at the forward cocking serations almost imperceptible - the tritium sights still glow brightly in the dark and the serial number is 22.

Anyone have ideas on what this thing is worth?

its worth 700.00 tops, its a off the shelf custom .45, you can build a better .45 for cheaper but some prefer to pay ed brown 3000 because they dont know guns
new it will cost you over 3000 retail but its no better than a colt for 999 or a remington for 650.00

A custom 1911 is much tighter and more accurate than a Colt. There is a WORLD of difference.

That being said, if you are VERY competent you could build your own and get similar results.

The list price on the Baer site ranges from $2,000 - $2,300. Hopefully that's a suggested retail price and not the price you can get it for at a higher volume gun shop.
