I shot this guy Sunday morning(Nov 7) at 7:05 AM. It was just after first light and he came in from the corn field trailing a doe, with a spike trailing him. They made their way in and came behind me, right under my tree stand and headed towards the scrapes 25 yds away. He got to the edge of the thickets(12yds away) and thats when I drew back. He decided to stand there for a minute though so I had to let it down as I didnt have a shot. Reset my rest and then he stepped out to the scrape, turned and was quartering away. I double lunged him and he barely made it 40 yds and crashed. The spike immediately started chasing the doe, and 3 more young bucks came in and all took turns chasing her and mounting her for the next hour or so. It was quite a show!
I shot him with a PSE X Force bow, with Crimson Talon broadheads, which appears to be a very lethal combo!
