I'm looking into trading my Glock in, I'm taking it to Cabela's in Dundee. I was offered $300 store credit by my local gun shop for the pistol, 2 mags, and the box it came in, nothing else, as long as I applied the amount toward a new pistol from that shop. I don't know what Cabela's
It's a 2nd Gen Glock 22 .40S&W. Only around 2500 rounds through it, very light holster wear, and the normal "Slide Peening". It's a very nice gun, I love shooting it, but I think it's time to upgrade. What would a reasonable offer from Cabela's Gun Library be? I'm hoping for $325 or so, any less than that, and I'll just put the gun I want to buy on layaway.
Next weapon is a Springfield Armory XD .45 Service model. 4" barrel. Comes with 2 mags, Hogue grips, the original box, and all the "XD Gear" except for the double mag holster. They are asking $399 for it. It's a used pistol, in VERY good condition, no visible damage to the internals at all, no holster wear. Should I try to talk them down on it at all? They have another pistol identical to this one, but without the Hogue grips and in rough shape, for the same price. I was thinking this is a pretty good deal, but if I can walk out of there having spent less than $50 out of pocket, I'll be ECSTATIC.
Just looking for some input.
