Ooh, a carbine class. That sounds fun. What's involved?
-James
it involves shooting and lots of it!
we go over the use of the rifle/carbine as a defensive tool and teach you to fight with it inside 50yds point shooting reloading drills, shooting platforms, cover, optics, loads and why instead of a shotgun as a home defense weapon, hostage drills shoot no shoot , movment

so an M1 Carbine would be just dandy for this class?

By carbine, do you mean any long gun? Like even an AR?
i usually name the class urban rifle! it is for any magazine feed rifle! but not pistol caliber carbine's
if you only have a pistol caliber carbine then bring it mine by me but it is nothing more than a7 pound handgun

and why instead of a shotgun as a home defense weapon,
That is a very impressive demonstration  8) Heck, I even the 9 mm penetrated more than the AR.

Personally, I like Flint better. If it makes any difference  Either way, let me know when and where and I'll be there. Looking at a Saturday or Sunday?

Ya, thats why we love him. No Disrimination from him. He's an Equal Opportunity Abuser.

The 18 & 19th works best for us , too. But we'll try and make the time whenever it is most convenient for everyone.

I wouldn't be able to make the 25, but might be able to make the 26th. Which class will be run on Sunday if it happens to be that weekend?
so far its looking like the 18th 19th but it depends on the gun club as well if so handgun would be first tehn carbine on second day

Cool.....that's two of us for the 18th for pistol.
Looking forward to the carbine too. Can't wait to try out the new "EBR" Colt 6920 that "only LEO's and Gov't agents" could previously own....
Any low light drills? Do I need a light for it? Already have the ACOG.
Is a bipod needed?
(I really want a Beta mag, too :) )

Yes, Sir. I'm looking forward to it. Been far too long already. You and Syd teaching? Heck, I might even try the new HK USP2000. I want to try hammer drills with the DAO trigger. Seems like a small travel to reset after (dry) firing practice. I hope it works as well for real. I'll be sure to give it a good 'shakedown" run before. I'd prefer not to have another one of the "parts falling off events" , like the last time I tried a new gun. So anybody going from central Oaland County care to car pool?
